Jamie and Jesse

On September 16th, 2007 we photographed Jamie and Jesse’s wedding at the historic Grant Humphries Mansion in Denver. For a while we thought we’d all be inside for the ceremony, or drenched, but the rain cleared up just in time. Thank you everyone for a great time, this was the first wedding we’ve been to where the father of the bride was wearing a garter, we got to photograph the polka, and the bar was in an old fashioned bowling alley. Sure do wish we’d had a ball and pins. Thanks again. Congratulations Jamie and Jesse.

Pumpkin Carving Madness

Yesterday we had a great time with friends at our annual pumpkin carving contest. We were impressed with the talent that people brought, tasted Black Vodka (delicious, and tastes like vodka...oddly enough), and were touched by what great people we have in our lives. Thank you all for coming and helping us to have a great time. Black Vodka!

Lauren & Jason at Denver Art Museum

Lauren and Jason were into my idea for engagement photos at the Denver Art Museum, so off we went. This place is a wonderland of architecture and design, and we had fun walking around while I captured some of their love and affection in action. Seriously, when you have two people into eachother like Lauren and Jason, it's good times and great photo opps. We also got to know eachother a little better so they'd be more comfortable with me and the camera at their Steamboat wedding. Pictures of their wedding be coming soon, so please check back.

Boettcher Mansion Bridal Show

We love living in Golden for all of the hiking and biking trails, Clear Creek water park and easy access to the mountains (did you hear A Basin is already open!?). Another bonus is the Boettcher Mansion. It's a great event facility, and event manager Laurie Vogt and crew are so helpful and easy to work with. Also, over the last couple years they've spent millions of dollars upgrading and restoring the nearly 100 year old building and grounds. This Sunday, October 21st, they're having a bridal show. We'll be there, along with lots of other vendors to help couples plan their weddings. Hope to see you there!

Jessica's Dress Abusing Pictures

Kevin and I have recently become a photography team with this business of ours. I used to stay behind the scenes in the office until the last few months.  We discovered that I had a bit of an eye, and that I do okay behind a camera.  Here are a few of my favorite images from the get together hosted by Andrew Schaefer. Thanks and I hope you enjoy them.

Trash The Dress!

Trashing the dress after getting married is a fun way to de-stress and has become somewhat trendy lately. The idea was also a good excuse to get a bunch of Denver photographers and models together to shoot. Thanks to everyone involved, especially Andrew for putting it together and Kat, Crystal, Moses, and Chris for modeling.

Janna & Steve

On September 15th, 2007 Kevin and I photographed the wedding of Steve and Janna Walker. It was a very spiritual ceremony at St. Michael and All Angels in the Washington Park area of Denver. The party then moved by limo to the Westin Westminister, where the Raiders were staying that evening for the big game the next day, which they lost to the Broncos! The beautiful ceremony was followed by great food, sprited toasts, and enthusiastic dancing by family and friends. (No birds were harmed by the throwing of the rice, just check Mythbusters)

20's Theme Wedding in Glenwood Springs, Co

As a wedding gift, I shot my wife Jessica's, BFF Ashlie's wedding in
Glenwood Springs this August. It was a beautiful ceremony in Rifle
Mountain Park, with the reception at Rivers Restaurant. Seeing our
dear friends promise to love each other for the rest of their lives
was lovely. Thank you Ashlie and Mark for the opportunity to shoot
such a fantastic, fun wedding.
